Upright folio, 35.5 x 25.3 cm, half calf binding with marbled paper over board. The spine is gilt stamped with the arabic numeral 2. The cover is damaged and only a fragment of the marbled paper remains, but the remainder and the spine show the binding matches that of Knight 02 and possibly Knight 01. The inside front cover includes a manuscript index to the contents. The first flyleaf is signed "Mrs Austen" in the same hand as Jenkyns 07 and Knight 02.
The volume includes numbers from the weekly periodical Feuilles de Terpsichore (Paris: Cousineau), principally from the harp series, published between July 1787 and March 1790. The set is incomplete and numbers are not bound in order of issue. The final item in the book is a separate publication of music for harp and voice by Philipp Joseph Hinner [c.1785]. The most likely original owner of the music was Jane Austen's cousin Eliza Austen, née Hancock (1761-1813), known as Eliza de Feuillide in the Austen literature from the name of her first husband; her second husband was Jane's brother Henry Austen, whom she married in 1797.
